Are you sure it isn't a snake? Check to see if it has eyelids. Mmmm, can't tell, OK see if it has ear openings... No, what about a lack of broad belly scales, or a long tail?
Regardless, any animal devoid of opposable thumbs is of little use. How will they make beef jerky? And if they can't make beef jerky, what good are they?
I do see the possiblilty of a new 'jerky strips' type of snack, but the marketing department is concerned about the consumer backlash should the true jerky composition be discovered.
